Both the shim and pre-load spring spacers together make for the maximum lift allowable without compromising the efficiency of the stock shock. Using one or the other will make for a low or moderate lift height. Installation of these leveling spacers can be done at home with the proper tools and safety precautions. Installing these spacers requires disassembly of the strut\/spring.
