Another clean caliper job in the books. This C8 Corvette Z06 came into Velocity Factor with the factory yellow brake calipers, and the owner wanted something that matched the car instead of fighting it. We refinished the calipers in a crisp gloss white, so they blend into the white paint and let the black CORVETTE script do the talking. Here is the job:
- Front calipers refinished in gloss white. The big front calipers went from yellow to a clean white that ties straight into the body color.
- Rear calipers to match. All four corners got the same finish, so the car looks right from every angle, not just the front.
- CORVETTE script back in black. The lettering is reapplied crisp and sharp, so it reads like it came from the factory that way.
Before and After
Same caliper, same car, completely different look. The yellow is a great factory color, but on a white Z06 it pulls your eye straight to the brakes. The white finish makes the whole wheel and brake package look like one piece.
Front and Rear, On the Lift
Here is the finished set on the lift before the wheels went back on. Look at the edges and the lettering on both the front and rear calipers: clean lines, even gloss and no overspray on the hardware.
Wheels Back On
With the wheels back on, the white calipers sit behind the Z06's split spokes and blend right into the paint. You still catch the CORVETTE script through the spokes, but nothing clashes with the car anymore.
