The unit utilizes the lower half of the factory air intake system while placing a duct with significantly less restriction for maximum airflow.
The advantage of the carbon fiber makeup of the system as opposed to traditional fiber reinforced plastic or aluminum is less heat retention, thus resulting in lower air intake temperatures within the engine bay. It even looks good too!
