A previous customer with a Stage 2 upgrade along with methanol injection in his 2011 Mazda MazdaSpeed 3 was craving a bit more power for his daily commute, so he came to Velocity Factor to have a Garrett GT3076R big turbocharger kit on his vehicle. Installation was simple; literally a bolt-on process!
The vehicle was then temporarily reflashed on a Cobb AccessPORT Stage 2 OTS map setting to test driveability before being reflashed for a custom Cobb AccessPORT Protune
The car put down 346 wheel horsepower and 330 wheel torque on a mustang dyno! Impressive! While the car could have been tuned for more horsepower and torque, we kept driveability and reliability in mind for the client, considering that the engine is still running on stock internals.
